Void I
A First Wave Meta who developed the power to teleport, invisibility and open interdimensional portals, the original Void used his superhuman abilities to become a nigh unstoppable thief and occasional spy. His early exploits were all relatively harmless burglaries, including a highly publicized heist in Paris, known as 'The Loot of the Louvre', where Void cleared out several priceless art pieces that have yet to be recovered. In addition, Void was believed to be involved in numerous counts of international and industrial espionage cases, but the world would likely never know the truth.
In latter years, Void adopted a more chaotic outlook and became more of a menace than a gentleman thief. He used his powers to kidnap high-profile politicians and celebrities (or their loved ones), only to put them in perilous situations, seemingly for media attention. Most of these dangerous stunts were diffused by Meta heroes or local law enforcement, though there were two cases that ended in tragedy (the "Choose which Olsen Twin to live" case and the "Fall of Paris Hilton" case).
Two years ago Void attacked the campus of UCLA during a visit of Secretary of State Georgina Cole, putting an assembly of government officials, faculty, students and media at risk with an oversized interdimensional portal. The hero White Star was on scene to battle Void, rescuing Cole as well as Void's own son who was attending the address. Unfortunately, both White Star and Void fell through the portal and were never seen again. The menace of Void was ended, but it also cost America one of her most beloved heroes.
Void's son eventually took on his father's mantle to become the second Void.
