The Tamer is a super villain that is as devious as he is obnoxious. Genetically enhanced by his father thanks to Jupiter Effected unique super science, he has minor super-strength, speed, and blow-absorbing density. When the private plane he and his father used to travel to Japan on business was sabotaged by the greedy board of directors of his father's company and crashed, killing his father, the genetically enhanced three year old was found and raised by the Ijubuyan Ninja Clan. The clan not only taught Edward Covings Jr, the man who would become the Tamer to master the mundane combat arts and become a master fighter, they also taught him mastery of their secret seduction arts that has allowed Tamer to make any woman his personal possession. Also mastering the Cat O Nine Tails weapon, Edward took over as leader of the clan when he honorably defeated the clan's former master, who still remains as a loyal advisor to his student.

Moving the clan to Los Angeles, Tamer found those responsible for his father's murder and killed them. Taking over as CEO after it was genetically proven that he is the legitimate inheritor of the company, stock has risen steadily at GIC after a few savvy business moves and exciting changes in the direction of consumer and military technology under Covings Jr.'s direction. Having his father's talent for super science, Edward has created some unique weaponry for himself, including his personal armor which looks and even feels like tight formed spandex but is in actuality hard as titanium, and his personlized Cat O Nine Tails, which with one button can generate up to 10,000 volts of electricity through all of its spindles, or the ability to send his own chi through it and into the victim, with different results.

The Tamer is a Second Wave Meta, but is already gaining serious Rock Star status after a series of high profile technology thefts around Los Angeles, and physical confrontations with super heroines Morningstar, Jade, and Stargirl that were highly publicized events.
