Jupiter's Children: SpecialAgentRichards

Special Agent Patrick Richards is a 42 year old ex-patriate who has resided in the United States for 10 years now. Considering the OGWO's current relations with the United States he's under much heavier scrutiny than many others in the DMHA. He moved to the United States to assist them in the then young Department of MetaHuman Affairs, and has spent 10 years solidifying his reputation as a solid and reliable agent. He was transferred to head the important position as the District Director of the DMHA for Los Angeles, and has done some work to ready the transition. As of the start of the Day One continuity, he has officially stepped into that role.

This places him as something of a public figure, which is a part of the job he hates and avoids whenever possible. However, those who closely follow news, politics, or the law enforcement will probably recognize his face and less than perfectly regulation suit. He is publically known as a hard-liner that carefully avoids bigotry and prejudice, striving towards a model of firm and harsh, but fair treatment of the Metahuman population. No one has yet ever accused him of persecuting someone simply because of their Metahuman status, but it's equally known that Metahumans who become major 'problems' are unlikely to be given any sort of a break. Though no one in Los Angeles has yet found the line for when Richards would consider a particular meta to be a 'major problem', few are eager to try. Most recently, he's enjoyed a bit of minor celebrity and scandal by proxy, as he's been seen quite often in friendly conversation and circumstances with the pornography star Morganne D'Lady.
