The Department of Meta Human Affairs

Common Knowledge (IC)

The Meta-Human Act Agency, or the Department of Metahuman Affairs, is a
loose collection of agents from various other agencies. Members are mostly
from the FBI and various state and local law-enforcement agencies but there
are a number agents with military and covert backgrounds as well. The
agency is made up of a number of Judges, enforcement agents, and paper-
pushing agents. Agency enforcers can call upon local-level law enforcement
to provide firepower (often SWAT teams), investigative resources or other
assistance. With permission from a DMA judge, national guard or military
forces may be mobilized.

Uncommon Knowledge (OOC)

Most of the agents and judges are just a little bit crazy. Can't hardly
blame them considering the number that get ganked or simply go missing...

The agency also has a number of enemies in other branches of the govern-
ment because of the amount of power that rests in the hands of very few
people. With the authority to mobilize anything from SWAT teams to Air
Force precision bombing, there's more than a little tension between the
DMHA and other agencies. The fact that the DMHA has authority only in
meta-related affairs is of little relief to the rest of the government.
While the major enemy of the DMHA has been the metahumans that resent its
oversight, the tensions in Washington are aligning a new threat to the
DMHA's existance.

DMHA Characters: Richards

OOC Note:

The DMHA is also based off the Metahuman Registratin Act, which itself is
an OOC construct designed to make things interesting. While players are
encouraged to play 'with' the DMHA, as well as those characters that are
involved with the DMHA, there's a lot more out there and the DMHA's reach
is not nearly as absolute as it may appear at first glance.
