Most people are generally able to do a few things pretty well. Decide
what those are for the character, and you have their primary abilities
down. Because of race, species, civilization, technology, etc, it is
possible for a character to be able to perform amazing feats by Real World
standards. But, even so, they will tend to excel at just a few. Once you
got it, slap a few notes about them in the appropriate attributes.
There are quite a few things that players might be used to setting on
their characters, such as an exhaustive list of every skill and talent
they have. That isn't necessary here. Instead, list those things that
are particularly important or note worthy. Just about everyone can drive
a car or operate a computer, for example, so listing those as traits
would be superfluous. Many people can manage to fire a hand weapon or
write a letter, so listing those would be overboard as well. But
someone that can pilot a jet though a dangerously narrow canyon while
firing their handgun at an opponent as they try and hack into a computer
system with their cyber-implants... Well, that's special. :)
