If a Concept is what a character /is/, the Focus is what a character
/does/. It can be looked at as the chosen career of the character, their
life-long ambition, or their usual course of action. A scientist's focus
could be on pursuing knowledge... or on perfecting the practical
applications of a theory to make money off of it. A character's focus can
change over time, but it should be something that is logical for their
concept.

An easy way to figure out a character's focus is to simply ask what they
do to earn income... or at least what they spend the majority of their
time doing. Or what they tend to think about the most.

Focus can be set up as a trait, but it is usually simple enough to leave
as a summary in the &focus attribute on a character. The focus of other
characters can be seen with the +which and the +finger commands.
